Inventory Audit Pricing FAQ
How is my audit price determined?
Audit pricing is based on inventory size, transaction volume, number of inventory locations, data readiness, historical analysis requirements, and overall project complexity. Final scope and pricing are confirmed before payment.
What counts as an inventory location?
An inventory location is a distinct facility or inventory-holding location included in the analysis, such as a warehouse, fulfillment center, or retail location where inventory is tracked separately.
Why are two physical counts required?
Two independently completed physical counts provide an additional level of verification before physical quantities are compared against system records. Counts should be completed by two separate individuals within your organization.
What transaction history do I need to provide?
A minimum of 12 months of inventory transaction history is required, including orders/shipments, inventory receipts, transfers (if applicable), and returns. Inventory adjustments and write-offs should also be provided when available.
What if my data is incomplete?
If required data is incomplete, I'll identify what information is missing before the analysis begins. Missing or incomplete data may affect the project scope, depth of analysis, pricing, or delivery timeline.
When does my project timeline begin?
Your project timeline begins once all required data has been received and confirmed as complete and ready for analysis. If additional information is required, the project timeline will begin after those requirements have been satisfied.
Does the advisor perform the physical inventory counts?
No. Physical inventory counts are completed by the client. Two independent counts completed by separate individuals are required before the reconciliation and discrepancy analysis begins.
Does the advisor need access to my inventory management system?
In most cases, direct system access is not required. The analysis is performed using client-provided inventory records and transaction-history exports in the requested format.
